Week 17 Newsletter

As we wrap up the season, this Office of the Commissioner wants to thank you. Your enthusiasm, camaraderie, and commitment have been the cornerstone of this league’s success. You participated in the banter. You showed up for the punishment, Owner’s Meeting, and draft. You diligently watched the playoffs unfold. And, you will be there to watch our Toilet Bowl Champ run half a marathon around a backyard.

Your involvement has been exemplary.

Over the four years of this league, it’s remarkable that despite life’s changes and challenges, your commitment to one another has only grown. You’ve been busy, and somehow still prioritized this group. You’ve all managed to carve out time for this league amidst your busy lives, showing your dedication to our little community. This season has been particularly noteworthy as you all shared significant life events, described in the graph below.

On top of all the big stuff, you’ve dealt with the smaller monotony of life from family squabbles to work-related stresses. Yet, you’ve remained dedicated to our small group and our league, balancing this commitment with your responsibilities to family, friends, and colleagues. Your attendance at birthday parties, participation in meal trains, and support through sleepless nights and home renovations speak volumes of you. And by some miracle, our patient partners have tolerated our screen time both in the Sleeper app and watching seven hours of commercial free football every Sunday (+MNF, TNF, and college).

Because of your stories, this has become the league of record for most members. And because of your responsiveness, intentionality, and commitment to togetherness, you have all won. 

It’s been an honor to showcase your remarkable stories worth sharing. Our office takes pride in your achievements this year, and we’re excited to celebrate you by highlighting some of our favorite feedback on your stories from this season:
