The boys are back, and with them comes our highly anticipated next-gen stats. For our first in-season newsletter, we present the official KC Guyz league member rankings—a definitive assessment of contribution, camaraderie, and commitment. This ranking was compiled using a meticulous scoring system, covering factors like:
- Playoff appearances
- Podium finishes & championships won
- Completion of league punishments
- Contributions to the league, including hosting events, designing merchandise, and maintaining strong team brands
- Active participation in the Sleeper app and charitable donations (from those who have never won any of the pot)
Unsurprisingly, Zisman rises to the top as the league’s S-tier member. His commitment to the league is undeniable, but let’s dive into where other members stand in this hierarchy.
A Tier: Exemplary Members
The A Tier recognizes those who have gone above and beyond, not just in terms of performance but in making this league a richer, more dynamic experience. These are the members who ensure there’s never a dull moment.
John earns his A-tier ranking for:
- Hosting the KC Guyz Podcast
- Being the first to complete a league punishment
- Earning 2nd place in 2022
Connor earns his A-tier ranking for:
- Co-hosting the KC Guyz Podcast
- Serving as commissioner in 2021
- Winning the championship in 2022
Trey earns his A-tier ranking for:
- Hosting the Owner’s Meeting and Draft Nights
- Reaching two championship games and two Toilet Bowls
- Completing the first half marathon punishment
B Tier: Solid Performers
The B Tier represents those who have consistently contributed in meaningful ways and left their mark on the league, whether through victories, hosting events, or enhancing the experience for all.
Spencer earns his B-tier ranking for:
- Founding the league
- Serving as the inaugural commissioner
- Winning it all in 2020
Sam earns his B-tier ranking for:
- Completing his punishment
- Earning 3rd place in 2021
- Donating his funds to the league pot
Jordan earns his B-tier ranking for:
- Winning the league’s first combine
- Hosting last year’s punishment
- Securing 3rd place in 2020
Matt earns his B-tier ranking for:
- Commissioning in 2022
- Hosting the league’s first backyard punishment
- Donating his funds to the league pot
C Tier: Meeting Expectations
The C Tier recognizes members who have been active participants but have yet to achieve breakout success. These members have contributed in ways both big and small, ensuring the league remains fun and engaging.
Chris earns his C-tier ranking for:
- The Good:
- Completing his punishment
- Designing league t-shirts
- Donating to the league pot
- The Bad:
- Leading a team literally named C-
- Holding the record for the most league losses
- Winner of the 2023 Friendly Ghost award
Collin earns his C-tier ranking for:
- The Good:
- Consistently sending Sleeper chat bits
- Hosting the league’s lake weekend
- The Bad:
- No podium finishes to date
- Third-most losses in league history
Travis earns his C-tier ranking for:
- The Good:
- Most all-time wins in the league
- Most points scored in a single season
- General vibes
- The Bad:
- Winner of the 2022 Friendly Ghost award
- A meager 34 minutes of total screen time on Sleeper
D Tier: The Final Frontier
The D Tier is for members who, while flying under the radar, have made their mark with key victories and contributions for a meaningful impact on the league.
