The 2026 Masters Weekend marked the highest ever attended KC Guyz event. With 8 Guyz, 10 babies, and 11 Friends of the League, it was an event to remember and another notch in a growing tradition.

Shout out to Jordan and Catie for hosting back-to-back events this weekend. People are still talking about beef and pimento cheese sandwiches, bouncy castle, and unicorn slide.

Shout out to Connor for continuing the tradition of completing his league punishment, and for being the only guy who actually invited* “cool girls and out of league friends.” Notably, he is the first KC Guy to both win a season and a toilet bowl.

Shoutout to Trey for coordinating another successful event and facilitating this year’s election.

*Editors Note on 4/13: Per Connor, Jordan was the one who invited the “cool girls and out of league friends.” Credit to Jordan.

Election Results

The 2026 Commissioner Election was tight. Zisman won by only a handful of votes.

This office looks forward to the honor of continuing the tradition of event coordination, league drama, and creative content.

Combine Details

The Combine this year, like in 2024, will involve a Physical test and a Mental test. Save the Date for Combine Christmas in July this year on Saturday, July 25th.

Physical Test: Track Meet

  1. 1-mile race at Shawnee Mission High School at 7 AM.
  2. Baseball Throw for Distance for where the ball first hits the ground.
  3. Frisbee Throw for Distance for where the frisbee finally stops moving.

Mental Test:

  1. Poker Tournament at 15 E 62nd at 8:30 PM.
    • Duration: 4 hours.
    • Buy-in is the annual league due of $150.
    • Unlimited re-buys allowed for the first 90-minutes for up to $150.
    • You can add-on once at the 90-minute break if you haven’t yet busted for up to an additional $150.
    • All money will go to the league pot and the purpose of the additional funds will be determined at the Rules Night.

Scoring:

Scoring will be determined by position with first place earning 1 point, 2nd place 2 points, etc. to 12th place with 12 points. Track Meet events will be weighted to 50% and the Poker Tournament will be weighted 50%

Lowest total points across all events is the winner.

If you’re unable to attend the Track Meet, you can get credit if you send your mile time, baseball, and frisbee throwing distances to the commissioner up to 1-week before the Track Meet with video evidence. If you fail to submit your results, you will receive 0 points for all 3 categories.

If you’re unable to attend the Poker Tournament for something reasonable, we will roll a 12-sided die to determine your points but will prohibit die rolls of 1-3 meaning the best score you could get is 4 and the worst score is 12.

Ties:

  1. If someone is tied with another contestant who scored remotely, then the tie breaker goes to the person who attended more events.
  2. If there is still a tie, and the two contestants are both present at the Poker Tournament, then they will immediately perform a best-of-7 Rock Paper Scissors match. Otherwise, the commissioner will flip a coin.
