Highlight of the Week
Does Daddy Wahrbucks have the best fantasy football team ever drafted?
That is what people are asking after Chris Wahrman’s lights out debut.
His team set the all-time KC Guyz record for points scored in a single regular season game. They are on pace to blow out all previous point records.
This achievement marks a franchise first for the Wahrbucks, starting the season 2-0, and comes after his first playoff appearance last season. Things are trending in the right direction, capped by his incredible Message of the Week. Tip of the hat.
The Curse of the Bad Guyz
Join me as we put on our tin foil hats.
There are certain things in fantasy football that cannot be explained by statistics, such as the strong belief to have a team with #NoBadGuyz to prevent locker room cancers. Let’s examine the evidence.
Case No. 1: Bosch and the Patriot Stack
To begin this season, Bosch went all-in on a New England stack drafting AJ Brown in the 2nd round and Drake Maye as his 5th pick. Theses are the stars of a team whose #BadGuy head coach was caught in a years long public affair.
The Curse led Maye into throwing 3 interceptions (a Personal Worst) and landing AJ Brown on IR.
Case No. 2: Gilmore and Jacobs
After allegations involving battery and criminal damage to property, #BadGuy Josh Jacobs entered the season on the Commissioner’s Exempt List. Gilmore responded by selecting Jacobs in the 8th round.
The Curse responded by starting Gilmore 0-2, matching the start of his infamous 2020 Waffle House season.
Case No. 3: Kennedy and Nacua
Carrying significant offseason baggage, #BadGuy Puka Nacua entered the season after reports surrounding a biting incident at a New Year’s Eve party, as well as controversy over remarks made in 2025. Kennedy nevertheless selected the star receiver 4th overall.
What happened next?
The Curse put 3rd round pick Brock Bowers on IR, and it made his quarterback, Kyler Murray, score negative points (the first time that has happened to a starting QB in KC Guyz history). Kennedy proceeded to set a new record for the worst weekly showing of all time. He did this during the highest scoring week 1 in NFL history.
Conclusion
Our reporting shows that managers with #BadGuyz on their team have have been Cursed.
We advise dropping all #BadGuyz to the waivers.
Bad Beat of the Week
We’re introducing a recurring segment called the Bad Beat of the Week as reported to you by us, your Bad Beat Beat Reporter.
This week’s Bad Beat of the Week goes to Travis Cotton who scored over 150 points while losing to a team who scored over 200 points.
We reached out to Cotton for comment, and he had this to say concerning his loss to Daddy Wahrbucks:
I thought it would be an easy week playing Chris. My guys played fantastic, and the fact that Chris outscored me made me feel like Harry Potter before Hogwarts, a bit Dudley. [Travis proceeded to laugh at his own joke.]
When asked about his win against the median, starting the season 1-1:
That’s just a Mamdani consolation prize.
When asked about his thoughts on his draft grade where our reporting stated he had the worst draft:
When I think of RDK, I think of “Really Don’t Know.”
