The First Swirls
Bosch picked fourth 4th overall and honestly didn’t have a bad draft on paper. He took value in every round and didn’t really “reach” for any one player or position. Injuries were one of the key reasons he finds himself on the wrong side of a bye this week. The great irony here is that, by trade, Bosch is a physical therapist and this is the second year in a row he has suffered an injury plagued season. Here’s a breakdown of his draft (skill positions only) and some decisions that were made mid-season to navigate the roster issues he faced. We’ll break them down below.
CeeDee in the 1st (Injured for 4 weeks – EOY WR 22)
Bucky in the 2nd (Injured 7 weeks – EOY RB 36)
Higgin in the 3rd (Injured 1 week – EOY WR 16
DJ Moore in 4th (Healthy all year – traded to Zisman before week 9 – EOY WR 40)
Tet McMillan in the 5th (Healthy all year – EOY WR 13)
Aaron Jones in 6th (Injured 4 weeks – EOY RB 46)
Dak in the 7th (Healthy all year – EOY QB 3)
Austin Ekler in the 8th (IR after week 2 – EOY RB 91)
Josh Downs in the 9th (Injured 1 week – dropped after week 1 – EOY WR 49)
Rachadd White in the 10th (Healthy all year – EOY RB 26)
Kyle Pitts in the 11th (Healthy all year – EOY TE 10)
Teslaa in the 13th (Healthy all year – dropped at some point, doesn’t really matter he’s irrelevant – EOY WR 104)
Jake Ferguson in the 14th (Healthy all year – dropped after week 1 – EOY TE 2)
Turning Point (The Bowel Movement)
The obvious first bowel movement was dropping Jake Ferguson, while no one has a crystal ball dropping the eventual TE 2 is still painful. What’s more is the that Bosch could’ve stacked that TE with his QB that single handedly could’ve kept him in the playoff hunt even with all the above listed injuries. A tough beat.
If the injuries clear up and Higgins and Lamb are both back by week 16 Bosch’s odds in that TB Semi are pretty good. At time of writing his lineup is projecting 133 while his potential opponents are projecting 104 (Lamb) and 114 (Local Bears Fan Sam). But, just ask last year’s runner O’Neil who for the weeks leading up to the ‘24 TB Final claimed “My team is just too good to get flushed”
My friend, no team is too good to be flushed. The TB is merciless, the TB demands respect, the TB will humble all who find themselves inside the rushing waters of it’s porcile dome.
Manager Quote
When asked for comment entering this year’s Toilet Bowl, Norton declared:
“I will refrain from commenting about my potential opponents. It would be tempting God, who has frowned greatly on my team this season. With shorn head, wearing sackcloth and ashes, I repent.”
