Schedule Swap

In 2023, we posted Schedule Swap where we highlighted what each team’s record would be given another team’s schedule. Below are those results with a few highlights:

  1. No team would have a winning record with Cotton’s schedule.
  2. All teams would have a winning record with Kennedy’s schedule.
  3. No team would have a losing record against Gilmore’s schedule.
  4. Only one team each would have a winning record with Arends’ or Wahrman’s schedule.

Divisional Strength

In our newsletter following week 3, we concluded that the “Space Cadets soared to the top.” In our newsletter following week 9, we concluded that the Patriots had the most legacy wins and points while “historically the Girl Dads not only have been the worst division, but the luckiest.” We now revisit this idea to review how each division performed in 2024.

Total Wins:

  1. Girl Dads: 33
  2. Patriots: 27
  3. Space Cadets: 24

Total Points:

  1. Girl Dads: 7,437.4
  2. Space Cadets: 7,313.74
  3. Patriots: 7,141.08

Total Playoff Appearances:

  1. Girl Dads: 3
  2. Patriots: 2
  3. Space Cadets: 1

It’s clear from the numbers, this season belongs to the Girl Dads as the best division with the most wins, points, and playoff appearances.

But wait. There’s more!

We reviewed Points Per Win (PPW) to determine how many points it took each division to earn a win. As an example, if your division scored only 1,000 points and had 10 wins, it would have only taken 100 PPW. If instead your division was much stronger and scored 10,000 points but still only had 10 wins, then you would have a far greater total of 1,000 PPW. This indicates that fewer Points Per Win correlates with greater luck.

Points Per Win:

  1. Girl Dads: 225 points per win
  2. Patriots: 264 points per win
  3. Space Cadets: 304 points per win

In conclusion, the Girl Dads continue to lead the league in luck, but nonetheless, stats are for losers and final scores are for winners. We congratulate the Girl Dads for their efforts as this year’s best regular season division.

FAAB to USD Conversion Rate

The below stats are from the previous two full seasons where we began tracking unspent FAAB.

Unspent FAAB ’22:

  1. Norton | $87 FAAB | 8th place
  2. Cotton | $56 FAAB | 6th place
  3. O’Neil | $24 FAAB | 5th place
  4. Bosch | $9 FAAB | 13th place
  5. Lamb | $5 FAAB | 1st place
  6. Zisman | $2 FAAB | 9th place
  7. Kennedy | $1 FAAB | 14th place

Unspent FAAB ’23:

  1. Cotton | $70 FAAB | 10th place
  2. Lamb | $8 FAAB | 8th place
  3. Green | $6 FAAB | 4th place
  4. Kennedy | $5 FAAB | 2nd place
  5. Bosch | $1 FAAB | 5th place
  6. Norton | $1 FAAB | 12th place

Combined Total:

  1. Wahrman $0
  2. Mobley $0
  3. Gilmore $0
  4. Arends $0
  5. Zisman $2
  6. Kennedy: $6
  1. Green $6
  2. Bosch $10
  3. Lamb $13
  4. O’Neil $24
  5. Norton $88
  6. Cotton $126

Now we provide you, for the very first time, a FAAB to USD conversion rate. To do this, we looked at the week 14 waivers where Zisman used $54 FAAB to grab Isaac Guerendo. Zisman went on to win $25 for the weekly high points directly due to this waiver pickup. Therefore we can establish a conversion rate of $2.16 FAAB/USD.

This means that Cotton has left an effective $272.16 USD on the table through his unspent FAAB.
